85D. Director of Financial Services Promotion Agency (1) There shall be a chief executive officer of the Agency who shall— (a) be known as the Director; and (b) be appointed by the Board with the approval of the Minister, on such terms and conditions as it may determine. (2) (a) The Director shall be responsible for the execution of the policy of the Board and for the control and management of the day to day business of the Agency. (b) In the discharge of his functions, the Director shall act in accordance with such directions as he may receive from the Board. (3) (a) In the discharge of his functions under this Part, the Director shall be assisted by such employees as may be necessary. F10 – 52 (3) [Issue 7] Financial Services Act (b) The employees shall be under the administrative control of the Director. (c) The Agency may, with the approval of the Minister, make use of the services of an employee of the Ministry to assist the Agency in the discharge of its functions. (4) The Director may, with the approval of the Board, delegate his functions or any power delegated to him under section 85B (14) to an employee.
