Section 51: Savings and transitional provisions

51. Savings and transitional provisions (1) Any licence or permit issued under the repealed Firearms Act which has not expired on the coming into operation of this Act shall remain valid until the date of its expiry. (2) Subject to subsection (1), any registration made under the repealed Firearms Act shall be deemed to be a registration under this Act.
