8. Director-General
(1) There shall be a Director-General of the Council who shall be the chief
executive officer of the Council.
(2) The Director-General shall be appointed, on a contract basis, on such
terms and conditions as may be determined by the Board and subject to the
approval of the Minister.
(3) The Director-General shall be responsible for the execution of the policy of the Board and for the control and the management of the day-to-day
business of the Council.
(4) In the exercise of his functions, the Director-General shall act in accordance with such directions as he may receive from the Board.
