Section 3: Objects of Association

3. Objects of Association The objects of the Association shall be to— (a) promote and facilitate, by all lawful means, the trading and commercial interests of its members; (b) collect statistical information as regards trade generally, print, publish, sell or distribute gratuitously or otherwise, journals, periodicals, books or leaflets, and acquire shares or interests in any journal or periodical, or both, that the Association thinks desirable for the promotion of its object; (c) make representations to the Government authorities, where necessary, with a view to ensuring fair and equitable distribution of goods among its members, and take every legitimate and lawful step generally conducive to the trading interests of its members; I7 – 1 [Issue 1] Indian Traders’ Association Act (d) incorporate into the Association other institutions, societies, or associations having objects in whole or in part similar to any of those of the Association, and co-operate with any person or persons in the furtherance of such objects; (e) grant financial help to any of its members; and (f) undertake and carry on all such works as appear necessary to attain the aims and objects of the Association, and do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of them.
