Section 48: Regulations

48. Regulations (1) The Minister may, after consultation with the Board, make such regulations as he thinks fit for the purpose of this Act. (2) Any regulation made under subsection (1) may provide— (a) for the levying of fees and taking of charges; (b) for an amendment of the Schedules; (c) for the prescription of charging principles on the recommendation of the Board and such other matters as may be prescribed under this Act; (d) that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 50,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.
