Section 128: Public notice

128. Public notice (1) The Commission may, having regard to the interest of the public and of the policy holders or potential policy holders, and to the reputation of Mauritius, give public notice of the fact that a particular person— (a) has ceased to be a licensee, whether by way of cancellation, revocation, surrender or by any other form of termination of licence; (b) has had its licence or registration suspended; (c) has been sanctioned or been subject to any administrative sanction other than a private censure; (d) is not or has not been a licensee or registered person; or (e) has been granted or refused a licence or registration. (2) Where the Commission is required to give public notice of any matter, it shall cause a notice to be published in the Gazette and 2 daily newspapers. (3) By a notice under subsection (2), the Commission may state that the matter may be read or consulted at the office of the Commission or on its website or in the Bulletin of the Commission, or at such other place.
