Section 6: Registers

6. Registers (1) The Commission shall establish and maintain a register containing such particulars and details of licensees and registered persons, in such form, manner and medium as it thinks appropriate. (2) A person may, on payment of a prescribed fee— (a) inspect the register during normal office hours and take copies of any entry; (b) obtain a copy certified by the Commission as correct of any entry in, or extract of, the register. I15 – 11 [Issue 8] Insurance Act (3) A copy of any entry in the register, or of any extract of the register, given under subsection (2) shall be received in any proceedings as prima facie evidence of the entry, or the extract, as the case may be. (4) The Commission may make such addition, erasure or other alteration to the registers as it considers necessary to ensure its accuracy. (5) The Commission may post on its website parts or extracts of the register updated at regular intervals. PART II – LICENSING OF INSURANCE BUSINESS
