28. Search and seizure
(1) Where the Director has reasonable ground to believe that an offence
under this Act has been, is being or is likely to be committed, he may, at all
reasonable times and after producing a search warrant issued by a
Magistrate, enter the business premises of a dealer and seize any mark,
jewellery, precious or semi-precious stone, instrument or document which he
suspects has been, is being, or is likely to be used, in the commission of that
offence.
(2) Any mark, jewellery, precious or semi-precious stone, instrument or
document seized under subsection (1) shall be returned to the dealer where
proceedings are not instituted or permanently discontinued following the
seizure.
