28. Prohibition on subletting and assignment
(1) Notwithstanding any agreement or any other enactment, no tenant
shall—
(a) sublet any premises; or
(b) assign any tenancy thereof,
without the landlord’s consent.
(2) Any agreement by virtue of which a subletting or assignment is effected in breach of subsection (1) shall be void and of no effect.
