12. Functions and powers of Council The Council shall— (a) be responsible for the granting of an authorisation to run a vocational course; (b) supervise vocational courses and organise, through the Vocational Examinations Board, oral or written examinations for prospective law practitioners; (c) after consultation with the appropriate professional body, draw up and keep under review a list of law practitioners of not less than 15 years’ standing who are able to provide the required amenities and training to be pupil masters; and (d) where appropriate, formulate and cause to be published in the Gazette a Code of Ethics for any of the 3 branches of the profession.
