6. Application for admission
(1) Any person who wishes to be admitted to practise law in Mauritius
shall make a written application addressed to the Chief Justice and lodged
with the Registrar.
(2) An application under subsection (1) shall be accompanied by evidence
such as to satisfy the Chief Justice that the applicant—
(a) is a citizen of Mauritius;
(b) is of good character; and
(c) holds the qualifications specified in section 4.
(3) The Registrar shall forward a copy of the application to the AttorneyGeneral and to the Council.
(4) On receipt of an application under subsection (1), the Registrar shall
cause a copy of the application to be posted up at the Supreme Court.
