57. Protection from liability
(1) No action shall lie against the Registrar or any member of his staff or
person delegated by him for anything done or omitted to be done by any one
of them in the performance, in good faith, of their functions, or the exercise,
in good faith, of their powers, under this Act.
(2) This section shall be in addition to, and not in derogation from, the
Public Officers’ Protection Act, and for the purposes of that Act, every
person specified in subsection (1) shall be deemed to be a public officer or a
person engaged or employed in the performance of a public duty.
