29. Cases where a person shall cease to be a general partner
(1) A person shall, subject to the partnership agreement, cease to be a
general partner upon the occurrence of any of the following events—
(a) his resignation, retirement or removal in accordance with the
partnership agreement;
(b) his bankruptcy;
(c) in the case of a general partner who is a natural person—
(i) his death; or
(ii) his legal incapacity;
(d) in the case of a general partner which is a body corporate or an
unincorporated body, its dissolution;
(e) in the case of a general partner who is acting as such by virtue
of being a trustee of a trust, the termination of the trust.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1) (e), the substitution of a new trustee shall not be construed as the termination of the trust.
