72. Lost or destroyed document (1) Where the partnership agreement or any other document relating to a limited partnership which is required to be filed has been lost or destroyed, the limited partnership may, with the approval of the Registrar, file a copy of the document. (2) Where the Registrar gives his approval under subsection (1), he may direct that a notice to that effect be given to such person and in such manner as he may determine. (3) The Registrar may, on being satisfied— (a) that the original document has been lost or destroyed; (b) of the date of the filing of the original document; and (c) that the copy of the document produced to him is a correct copy, certify that the copy is a true copy of the original and direct that the copy be filed in the same manner as the original document. [Issue 7] L15A – 44 Revised Laws of Mauritius (4) The copy shall, on being filed, have the same force and effect as the original from such date as is mentioned in the certificate as the date of the filing of the original.
