Section 148: Use of information technology

148. Use of information technology (1) A Chief Executive may direct the performance of any act or thing which is required to be done under this Act or any other enactment relating to local authorities, to be made or done by such electronic or other technological means as may be approved by him. (2) Unless otherwise authorised, a Chief Executive may, with effect from such date as may be specified in regulations made by the Council, direct that any matter, act or thing referred to in subsection (1) shall be made or done by electronic or other technological means.
