106. Apprehended loss of ship
Where the owner or agent of a Mauritius ship has reason, owing to the
non-appearance of the ship or to any other circumstance, to believe that the
ship has been lost, he shall cause a reasonable search to be made for the
ship and shall, as soon as may be convenient, send to the Director a notice
in writing signed by him and stating—
(a) the name of the ship, the port to which the ship belongs and the
official number, if any, of the ship;
(b) the circumstances and probable cause of the loss; and
(c) the last known position of the ship, if possible.
