141. Application of Sub-Part III
This Sub-Part shall not apply to—
(a) fixed or floating platforms or mobile off-shore drilling units where
such platforms or units are on location engaged in the exploration, exploitation or production of sea-bed mineral resources; or
(b) warships or other non-commercial vessels owned or operated by
a foreign State and entitled, at the time of the salvage operation,
to immunity under generally recognised principles of international
law, unless that State has decided to apply the Salvage Convention to those ships or vessels.
