Section 37: Duplicate certificate of registration

37. Duplicate certificate of registration (1) The Registrar may, where he is satisfied upon submission of proof that a certificate of registration has been lost, stolen or destroyed or has become defaced or illegible, issue to the owner a duplicate of that certificate. (2) Where a duplicate certificate is issued, the original, if then available or if subsequently found or recovered, shall be surrendered to the Registrar. [Issue 2] M62 – 24 Revised Laws of Mauritius (3) The Registrar may, in special circumstances, issue a facsimile or other electronically transmitted version of the duplicate certificate which shall be surrendered as soon as an original duplicate certificate is received by the owner.
