99. Inspection of lights, shapes and signals
A surveyor or inspector may inspect a ship of any nationality in a Port to
determine whether the ship is properly provided with lights and shapes and
the means of making sound signals as required by law, and, where he finds
that the ship is not so provided, he shall specify in writing the action required
to rectify the deficiency and the Director may detain the ship until such deficiency is rectified to his satisfaction.
