17B. Contribution in respect of persons in receipt of Transition Unemployment Benefit
(1) Where a person is in receipt of a Transition Unemployment Benefit
under section 5C of the National Savings Fund Act, contributions at the rate
of 9 per cent of the basic wage or salary shall be paid in respect of that person to the Fund.
(2) The contributions under subsection (1) shall be paid out of the Workfare Programme Fund set under section 45 of the Employment Rights Act.
