Section 2: Interpretation

2. Interpretation In this Act— “Chairperson” means the Chairperson of the Council; “Council” means the National Productivity and Competitiveness Council established under section 3; “Executive Director” means the Executive Director of the Council appointed under section 11; “financial year” has the meaning assigned to it by section 2A of the Finance and Audit Act; “member” means a member of the Council and includes the Chairperson and the Vice-chairperson; “Minister” means the Minister to whom responsibility for the subject of economic development is assigned; “Productivity Committee” means any Productivity Committee set up by the Council under section 10; N22 – 1 [Issue 5] “Vice-chairperson” means the Vice-chairperson of the Council.
