5. Election of office bearers
(1) The office bearers of the Society shall be members of the Society and consist of a
Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson, a Secretary, a Vice-Secretary and a Treasurer, who
shall—
(a) be called the delegates of the Society;
(b) be elected once every year at a general meeting held for that purpose; and
(c) hold office until the election of their successors.
(2) (a) The death, absence or resignation or incapacity to act of one or more office
bearers or delegates for any cause shall not invalidate or diminish the powers of those
who remain in office.
(b) The remaining office bearers or delegates shall call a meeting of the Society as
soon as possible in order to elect a successor or successors to the delegates or office bearers
who have died, resigned or become incapacitated.
(3) The election of the office bearers shall be subject to the approval of the President.
