4. Office of notary
(1) Every notary shall have an office, but he may cause a notarial deed to
be signed in any place other than that office.
(2) The office of a notary shall be situated—
(a) in the island of Mauritius, in the District of Port Louis; or
(b) in Rodrigues, in Port Mathurin.
(3) Every notary shall keep the documents referred to in section 3 (3) in
such secure premises as the Chief Archivist may approve.
(4) Every notary shall give written notice to the Attorney-General and to
the Chamber of the location of his office and of any other premises where
the documents referred to in section 3 (3) are kept, and of any change in the
location of either premises.
