3. Pension regulations (1) The President may make such regulations as he thinks fit for the granting of pensions, gratuities and other allowances by the Minister to officers appointed before 1 January 2013. (1A) The President may, on the recommendation of the Minister, make such regulations as he thinks fit for the granting of pensions, gratuities and other allowances to officers appointed on or after 1 January 2013. (2) Any pension, gratuity or other allowance granted under this Act shall be computed in accordance with the provisions in force at the date of the officer’s retirement or, in the case of an officer transferred to approved service, in accordance with the provisions in force at the date of the officer’s transfer.
