14. Declaration of areas of low-pest prevalence
(1) Where the NPPO is satisfied that a regulated pest occurs at low levels
in an area, it shall—
(a) adopt such phytosanitary measures as are appropriate to keep
the pest levels low; and
(b) institute a surveillance system to verify that the pest levels remain low.
(2) The NPPO may declare an area being monitored under subsection (1)
as an area of low-pest prevalence.
