5. Apprehension of offenders
Where an offence is committed under this Act, a police officer or a municipal officer in the district of Port Louis, may seize and secure the offender,
and forthwith, without any other authority or warrant, convey him before the
Magistrate of the district where the offence has been committed, to be dealt
with according to law.
