48. Regulations (1) The Minister may for the purposes of this Act make such regulations as he thinks fit. (2) Any regulations made under subsection (1) shall be made after consultation with the Council. (3) Any regulations made under subsection (1) may provide, inter alia— (a) for a Code of Practice; (b) for rules and guidelines for Continuous Professional Development programmes; (c) for the levying of fees and the taking of charges; (d) for the amendment of the Schedules; (e) that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 25,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
