167. Minister may close cemetery
(1) The Minister may notify in the Gazette that any cemetery or burial
ground shall, as from a specified period, be closed.
(2) Any person who, after the specified period, buries a dead body or
human remains in the cemetery or burial ground, shall commit an offence
and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 1,000 rupees.
