4. Negotiable instruments
(1) All bills of exchange, promissory notes and other negotiable instruments which are due and payable on a public holiday shall be payable, and in
cases of non-payment may be noted and protested on the following day and
any such noting and protest shall be as valid as if made on the day on which
the bill or note was made due and payable.
(2) Where the day on which a bill of exchange or other negotiable instrument is to be presented, or any notice relating the instrument is to be given
is a public holiday, the bill shall be presented, or the notice given, on the following day.
