18. Consideration of claims (1) Where the registration officer considers that a claim of which notice has been given to him in accordance with this Part and in respect of which no notice of objection has been given, may be allowed without further inquiry, he shall enter the claimant’s name in the register compiled in accordance with section 24. (2) Where the registration officer is not satisfied that any such claim can be allowed without inquiry, he shall consider the claim and in due course enter the claimant’s name in the register or, where he cannot accept the claim, give at least 5 clear days’ notice to the claimant of the time and place at which the claim will be considered by him.
