59. Corrupt withdrawal of candidature (1) Any person who corruptly induces or procures another person to withdraw from being a candidate at an election, in consideration of any pecuniary or other reward or promise of pecuniary or other reward, shall be guilty of illegal payment. (2) Any person withdrawing, in pursuance of such inducement or procurement, shall also be guilty of illegal payment. 60. —
