63. Penalty for illegal payment or hiring
(1) A candidate or an election agent who personally commits the offence
of illegal payment or illegal hiring shall be guilty of an illegal practice.
(2) Any other person who commits the offence of illegal payment or illegal hiring shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 1,000 rupees.
