8A. Form of register (1) Every part of a register shall be as set out in Form A of the Schedule. (2) Subject to subsection (3), the names in each part of the register shall— (a) be classified in alphabetical order or in such other manner or order as may be prescribed; and (b) as far as is reasonably practicable, be numbered consecutively. (3) — (4) There shall be a distinguishing letter for each part of a register and the distinguishing letter shall form part of the elector’s number in the register.
