4. Drawing water from river
(1) Subject to subsection (2), any person may draw water from any river
or stream for the use of himself, his family, and any animals possessed by
him.
(2) Without the authority of the Supreme Court, no person shall under
subsection (1) draw water by means of machinery, or by turning aside any
portion of the river or stream.
(3) Nothing in subsections (1) and (2) shall entitle any person to enter on
private property, without the occupant’s consent, for the purpose of drawing
water.
