123AB. Cycling when under influence of intoxicating drink or drugs
(1) Any person who rides a cycle on a road or other public place under
the influence of intoxicating drink or drugs to such an extent as to be
incapable of having proper control of the cycle shall commit an offence.

(2) A person convicted of an offence under this section shall be liable to
a fine of not less than 3,000 rupees nor more than 10,000 rupees and to
imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 months.
(3) Section 153 and Part X of the Criminal Procedure Act, the Probation
of Offenders Act and the Community Service Order Act shall not apply to a
person liable to be sentenced under subsection (2).
