18. Transitional provisions
Notwithstanding the provisions of section 28 (1) (a), the Commissioner
may, during a period of one year following the coming into operation of this
Act, issue a motor vehicle licence for a period exceeding that specified in the
First Schedule, provided that such period does not exceed the validity of any
licence issued by more than one month.
