16. Non-application of section 13 of the Companies Act
(1) Subject to subsection (2), section 13 of the Companies Act, in so far
as it provides that a transfer or contract of sale of shares or debentures in
contravention of the section shall be void, shall not apply to a disposition of
deposited securities.
(2) The Court may, on being satisfied that a disposition of deposited securities would, in the absence of subsection (1), be void, on the application
of the Registrar of Companies or any other person, order the transfer of the
shares acquired in contravention of section 13 of the Companies Act.
