3. Registrar
(1) There shall be, within the Ministry, a Registrar of small and medium
enterprises who shall be a public officer.
(2) The Registrar shall—
(a) be responsible for the registration of SMEs; and
(b) discharge such other functions, and exercise such other powers,
as may be conferred on him under this Act.
(3) The supervising officer may designate such public officers, or set up
such technical committees, as may be necessary to assist the Registrar in
the discharge of his functions under this Act.
