4. Objects of Authority
The objects of the Authority shall be to—
(a) promote a conducive business environment and empower SMEs
to emerge and grow;
(b) promote a service delivery network which increases the contribution of SMEs in the national economy and enhances economic
growth;
(c) enhance the competitiveness of SMEs;
(d) devise and implement development support programmes and
schemes for SMEs;
(e) facilitate, assist and provide the necessary support to SMEs to
gain market access and business opportunities and to compete
successfully in the national and international markets;
(f) promote and develop entrepreneurship;
(g) advise the Minister on policy issues regarding the development
of SMEs.
