4. Social Register of Mauritius
(1) There shall be, for the purposes of this Act, a register to be known as
the Social Register of Mauritius in which shall be registered the names and
other relevant particulars of every person who lives in absolute poverty.
(2) The Social Register of Mauritius shall be kept and maintained by the
Minister to whom responsibility for the subject of social security is assigned
or by such other body as may be prescribed.
