16. Interest on debts, damages and costs
(1) Any enactment relating to the payment of interest on judgment debts
in proceedings between subjects shall apply to judgment debts due from or
to the State.
(2) Where costs are awarded to or against the State in the Supreme
Court, interest shall be payable on those costs unless the Court otherwise
orders, and any interest so payable shall be at the same rate as that at which
interest is payable on judgment debts due from or to the State.

(3) Any enactment which empowers the Court to award interest on
debts and damages shall apply to judgments given in proceedings by and
against the State.
