2. Interpretation
In this Act—
“authorised officer” means such officer of the Ministry responsible for
the subject of education as may be designated by the Minister;
“Fund” means the Students’ Relief Fund established under section 3;
“Minister” means the Minister to whom responsibility for the subject of
education is assigned;
“student” means a student who is a citizen of Mauritius and who is
pursuing studies outside Mauritius.
