22. Retirement age and payment of gratuity
Pursuant to paragraph 21 of the Second Schedule to the Sugar Industry
(Agricultural Workers) (Remuneration Order) Regulations 1983, every monthly
worker who has been in continuous employment with the same employer for
a period of not less than 10 years may retire on or after reaching the age—
(a) in the case of a female worker, of 50 years; or
(b) in the case of a male worker, of 55 years,
and shall be paid a gratuity.
