81. Fitness of applicant
(1) On an application for the grant or renewal of a skipper’s licence, the
applicant shall make a declaration in such form as may be approved by the
Authority as to whether or not he is suffering from any disease or physical
disability which would be likely to cause the taking charge by him of a pleasure craft, being a pleasure craft of such class or description in respect of
which he has applied for a licence or renewal of a licence, to be a source of
danger to the public.
(2) Where the applicant is of the age of 60 or more, the Authority may,
before the issuing or renewing of the skipper's licence, if it thinks fit, require
the applicant to produce a satisfactory medical certificate in such form and
manner as may be approved by the Authority, signed by a registered medical
practitioner, showing his medical fitness to operate or be in charge of a
pleasure craft.
