Section 9: Committees

9. Committees (1) The Board may, in the exercise of its functions under this Act, set up such committees as it may determine. (2) Every committee set up under subsection (1) shall consist of not less than 3 but not more than 9 members including a Chairperson, who shall be appointed by the Board on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine. (3) A committee may, with the approval of the Board, co-opt such other person as may be of assistance in relation to any matter before the committee. (4) Any person co-opted under subsection (3) shall have no right to vote on any matter before the committee. [Issue 7] T11 – 12 Revised Laws of Mauritius (5) Subject to any direction given by the Board, any committee set up under subsection (1) shall regulate its meetings and proceedings in such manner as it may determine.
