93. Operating pleasure craft without due care or reasonable consideration (1) Any person who operates a pleasure craft or an exempt pleasure craft in a navigational area— (a) without due care and attention; (b) without reasonable consideration for other persons in the navigational area; (c) by imprudence, want of caution, negligence or non-observance of regulations, shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine of not less than 5,000 rupees and not exceeding 50,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year. (2) In the case of a second or subsequent conviction, the offender under subsection (1) shall be liable to a fine of not less than 10,000 rupees and not exceeding 100,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
