10. Appointment of planning committees
(1) (a) Where an Order declaring a planning area has been published
under section 6, the President may, on the recommendation of the Board and
after consultation with the local authority concerned, appoint a planning
committee for that planning area.
(b) The President may, under paragraph (a), appoint the local authority concerned as the committee.
(2) The committee shall furnish the Board with such particulars and
information as the Board may require with regard to the present and future
planning needs, and the probable direction and nature of the development, of
its area.
