32. Annual report
(1) The Board shall maintain proper accounts and other relevant records
and prepare an annual statement of accounts, including a balance sheet, in
such form and manner as may be required by the Tertiary Education Commission, which may demand the production of books, accounts, connected
vouchers and other documents and papers and inspect the offices of the
Université des Mascareignes.
(2) The Board shall, not later than 4 months after the end of a financial
year, submit to the Minister an annual report together with an audited stateU6A – 11 [Issue 4]

ment of accounts on the operations of the Université des Mascareignes in
respect of that financial year.
(3) The Minister shall, at the earliest available opportunity, lay a copy of
the annual report and audited accounts of the Université des Mascareignes
before the Assembly.
(4) The auditor to be appointed under section 5 (1) of the Statutory Bodies (Accounts and Audit) Act shall be the Director of Audit.
