10. The Pro-Chancellor
(1) There shall be a Pro-Chancellor of the University who shall be ex officio Chairperson of the Council.
(2) The Pro-Chancellor shall be appointed and shall hold office on such
terms and conditions as specified in the Statutes.
(3) Where the office of Chancellor is vacant or the person holding that
office is for any reason unable to perform the functions of that office, the
Pro-Chancellor shall perform those functions.
(4) Nothing in subsection (3) shall be construed as authorising the ProChancellor to confer degrees, diplomas or other academic qualifications.
