9. Offences Any person who, when summoned as a witness before any Court, wilfully and knowingly gives false information as regards his profession, trade, calling or place of residence in order to obtain a higher travelling allowance, shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 2,000 rupees.
